Dia De Los Muertos




Dia De Los Muertos is a holiday celebrated in honor of the dead. Traditionally, people create alters for their loved ones who have passed on. They leave offerings such as elaborate sugar skulls, flowers, candles and they cook their favorite foods. This show is a celebration of those we have loved and lost, expressed by select art students at SFSU.

Thursday October 24th, 2011. 4:00 to 6:00 pm

The Martin Wong Gallery presents the first exhibition of the Fall 2011 season, Now in Pixel.

Now in Pixel Celebrates the early influence of pixelated art from prior video games such as Galaga and Mario Brothers. Artists express what pixel art means to them by using various media to showcase inspiring, inventive art works.
